Why Printable Tags Made From Wreaths?
I created these modern Farmhouse wreath printables because wreaths appeal to many people, making them the ideal decor and gift choice.
Painting with watercolors, watercolor pencils and ink is one of my fave things to do.
And I really like to paint objects that I know people love in other formats. Such as wreaths.
There’s something special about creating printable art for folks to use that helps them enjoy their favorite holidays or seasons even more.
A new take on an old love. Perfect.

Free Watercolor Christmas Tags
We all can use some free printable Christmas gift tags. These particular free watercolor Christmas tags can also be used all year round as they do not have any printed text.
Use these free gift tags for personal use during the holiday season and beyond. They are an easy way to dress up your Christmas gifts at no extra cost. Each of these sweet holiday wreaths (in 4 different designs), will make your gift wrapping shine!
Write your recipient’s name in the center of the wreath – or there’s plenty of room on the back of the tag.
Unique Christmas Gift Tag Ideas
It’s easy to use the same free printable gift tags (left over from last year) again and again, right?
I do it all the time, too.
That’s why I enjoy using unique Christmas gift tag ideas to create a fresh group of gift tags.
When I painted these watercolor wreaths, I wasn’t thinking of using them for free gift tags.
I specifically created them to use on cards – not just Christmas cards – but everyday, gorgeous note cards.
But after I created cards with the wreaths, I realized how versatile they are and so the Christmas wreath gifts tags were born!
Printable Wreath Tags
Download these free printable Christmas Tags. For best results, use heavy paper or cardstock. Enjoy!
Gift tags are a perennial favorite in many homes.
You have plenty of choices for gift tags, but printing your own, cutting them out and placing them lovingly on packages nestled under your tree makes for a fun afternoon with kids, grandkids or even yourself (make sure the Christmas music is playing and the hot cocoa is steaming!).
Even preschoolers can be shown how to safely use a hole punch and create the hole for the string or ribbon and add a cute gift tag to a gift bag. (That’s making a memory, for sure!)
A watercolor gift tag just adds to how you’re saying “Merry Christmas”. By using a few free Christmas printables you can add some genuine “ho, ho, ho” to your printable tags.

Paper Choices for Printable Tags
The paper you choose for this DIY project is important.
You’ll want to choose a cardstock. You can certainly go with a flimsier paper, but your tags will not hold up to usage. Even cutting them out and prepping them for their job may be disappointing.
But a sturdy white cardstock eliminates these problems. You can choose the finish you desire. Cardstock comes in many finishes; flat, textured, linen, etc.
You can even print on art papers like watercolor paper. You might want to experiment and see what you like best.
Just be aware that these files have a white background which means you want to print on white paper for best results.
